Working with local business
IT Futures Centre
Based in the new Technology Centre, the IT Futures Centre provides consultancy and training to help
local companies and generate new business opportunities. Supported by a grant from Advantage West
Midlands and the European Regional Development Fund, this facility offers technological expertise,
impartial advice and practical assistance on a range of IT solutions including web technologies,
project management and mobile communications. IT Futures draws on the knowledge and experience of
the School of Computing and Information Technology – local businesses could one day benefit from
your skills and expertise to identify potential IT solutions. Visit the IT Futures website.
A career head start
At Wolverhampton, we offer a range of innovative courses that equip you with the skills and knowledge which you can take straight into your career.
The new Technology Centre features the latest facilities to support subjects including computing, construction, product design and media – your chance to put the theory you’ve learnt on your course straight into practice.
Take former Computer Aided Design graduate Jo Bradford for example. She used the University’s CAD facilities to realise her design ideas, and is now the successful inventor of an inflatable cot – a product which has won awards and achieved national recognition and sales.
