Supporting your learning
Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT)
The University is committed to supporting its students through innovative learning and teaching methods. Thanks to funding worth £4.5 million from the Higher Education Funding Council, the University has been awarded a Centre for Excellence. This Centre, based in the Building, is currently developing cutting-edge e-learning techniques, including a redesigned virtual learning environment - you can tap into study resources such as lecture notes and presentations from your own home or take part in interactive discussions, no matter where you are based. You'll also be taught by staff who are being kept up-to-date with the very latest learning and teaching techniques.
And you'll benefit from extra student support - sometimes through text messaging or personal digital assistants - to help you develop an e-portfolio where you can keep a personal record of your achievements and abilities for academic and career planning.
